La Arcada de la Princesa Promenade, in the heart of Old San Juan
Located in the southern tip of the heart of Old San Juan, this stylish promenade hosted a former Spanish prison built in 1837, and now houses the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. At the Arcada de la Princesa you will be able to experience the historical magic of Old San Juan, the walled city. It is located in the Paseo de la Princesa, a breathtaking tree-lined walk that faces the San Juan Bay, overlooks a fountain which depicts the cultural roots of Puerto Rico and leads you to the San Juan Gate - built in the late 1700s, a heavy wooden door in a 20 feet thick and 40 feet tall wall which for centuries was closed at sundown to cut off access to the city and protect the city from invaders.
A chance to experience true Puerto Rican Christmas traditions accompanied by a live band.
